Students will complete seven different elements of fiction tasks. Most students should be able to complete the escape room in one 55-minute class period. The first task is an informational close read where students answer multiple-choice questions. From there, tasks 2-6 cover plot, setting, character and characterization, point-of-view, and theme. The final task is deciphering a coded message.
