These are three of the most important themes we should teach high school students. They are important to help shape their future, but also give them a sense of the past. These themes change often an literature is a great way to teach them. The Great Gatsby is one of my favorite novels and it truly shows how the "American Dream" has evolved. I can't wait to be an english teacher and teach these themes to my students.
